In addition to working as a freelance translator, I also produce extra-virgin olive oil from the hundred-year-old olive trees on the small farm where I live.
In many ways, producing olive oil allows me to share the agricultural and culinary heritage of Italy much in the same way that I share its literature through my translations. It also gets me up from my desk, away from my books, and outdoors!
